Summer is here and I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite travel-friendly essentials to keep you cool, comfy, and ready for anything–whether you’re road-tripping, catching flights, or just spending long sunny days out and about. These are pieces I’ve used and loved and are totally summer-approved. Let’s dive in!

Royal Robbins

This breezy little Camino Pucker Short Sleeve Shirt  top is wrinkle-resistant, moisture-wicking, and has just the right amount of stretch. The fabric is butter soft, has a subtle patterned texture, and I’m loving this soothing purple color.

The Desert Pucker Short Sleeve Shirt is soft, breathable, and effortless. This shirt has a relaxed fit that keeps things airy but still looks polished and I’m loving the cheerful daisy pattern. Great for dressing up or down, depending on where your day takes you. It packs down small and pops out of your bag looking fresh, the pattern hides wrinkles!

Hemp is a wonderful fabric, both eco friendly and luxe, and I wish it was easier to find. Lightweight and easy-going, these Hempline Capri Pants are a summer staple. The hemp blend fabric feels soft and cool, while the cropped length is the perfect in-between length to keep you warm on the plane and cool in warm weather. They also have just enough structure to feel put-together without trying too hard. They are way cuter in person, the pictures don’t do them justice at all and I love the versatile olive.

Lastly, the Clouds Rest Hemp Long Sleeve Shirt is a substantial piece that I will be wearing year round. Perfect for layering when the sun goes down, this is the shirt for campfires and early morning farmers’ markets. It’s soft, breathable, and just warm enough to wear as a summer jacket to keep you cozy on cool nights.

Stay Hydrated with Klean Kanteen

Klean Kanteen has recently started making graphic kanteens and I’m totally in love with them. Why would you want a plain bottle when you can have functional art?! Check out the 20 oz Limited Edition TKWide Insulated Water Bottle – Peach Floral. How cute is this design?

I’ve been using this bottle daily and it keeps water ice cold for hours, doesn’t leak, and fits in my backpack side pocket perfectly. Plus, the twist cap is super handy. The cheerful flower power design brightens my day and they have multiple patterns to choose from including the Wildflower print. Note: if you see a graphic print you like, snatch it up fast because they sell out quick!

Chaco Sandals

I recently added two pairs of Chacos to my summer rotation–and I’m absolutely in love with both!

First, the Mega Z/1 Classic Sandals in Paddle Grape: the wide straps and patterned design give them a bold, fun look that stands out. That extra bit of width on the straps makes my feet feel a little more secure than in my traditional Chacos. They’re super supportive with great arch support and adjustability. I love the extra chunky buckle that makes them fast and easy to adjust. These are my new go-to for active days–whether I’m on the trail or running errands, they keep my feet happy all day long.

Then there’s the Townes Sandal in Black, which is equally impressive but with a totally different vibe. These are sleek, stylish, and versatile. I’ve worn them casually with pants and dressed them up with a dress–they are fabulous either way. The leather is butter soft, and the footbed feels great right out of the box. They’re so comfortable I feel like I’m walking on clouds.

Both pairs are comfortable, durable, and well made–exactly what you expect from Chaco. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a combo of style and all-day wearability!

Smartwool Socks: No-Show + No Fuss

Ankle socks are perfect for summer and while they increase comfort, these are also super cute. Soft merino wool keeps your feet cool while wicking away moisture. Smartwool recently re-designed them to be even better and I consider them a must-have for the season. And–they come in some great colors and patterns.

Lightweight, soft, and ultra breathable, the Run Brushed Print Low Ankle Socks are perfect for everyday walks and activities. Stylish and soft with a fun pop of color, they are great if you want a no-show fit with a little personality.

A little more cushy and supportive, the Hike Low Ankle Socks are perfect for longer walks or trail adventures. I love that they’re low-cut but still give great comfort and breathability.

With a cheerful striped design and just the right amount of stretch, the Stripe Low Ankle Socks strike a great balance between fun and function. They’re comfy enough for everyday wear and hold their shape even after lots of walking. Ideal if you want a little flair peeking out from your sneakers.

Cool Snacks On the Go

Compact and stylish, this Insulated Lunch Bag Cooler keeps snacks chilled and looks good doing it. It fits enough for a couple of meals for one person or a decent-sized lunch for two. Perfect for road trips, picnics, and poolside.

The Insulated Lunch Bag Cooler is a smaller version ideal for one person. It fits a large salad, and sandwich and/or some snacks. The insulation works surprisingly well for how light and packable this is. Super easy to wipe clean too!

These slim Slim Ice Packs ice packs are the perfect add-on—they slide right into the lunch bags without taking up too much space. They freeze quickly and stay cold for hours.
