Meet my new favorite jacket. Right now I’m dealing with snow, rain, wind, and sunshine weather elements, sometimes all in the same day. Outdoor Research’s new  Helium Down Hoodie jacket is the perfect solution to changing weather patterns. It’s also light weight and packable making it ideal for traveling through multiple climates.

First off–just look at it. It’s so pretty! I’m madly in love with Ultramarine Blue, which, to my eye is a beautiful purple-blue that is energizing and calming at the same time. I need more stuff in this high frequency color. Second, the cut is flattering and suitable for a woman’s curves.

OR has really dialed in their fit and I’d say it’s spot on. I remember a time when I had to size way up to accommodate my curves (which made for a weird fit with long sleeves) but now I just get mediums to fit my size 8/10 body and I’m happy every time. I’m closer to 8 than 10 right now, so have a look at the size chart to make sure you get what works best for you.

The Helium has a waterproof hood and it’s not stiff like Gortex–it also has some loft, so it will keep your head warm. Keep your phone or credit cards and id in the front pocket and gloves in the inner stash pocket. There’s a key clip in the left pocket, oh and the pockets are lined with soft fleece! I appreciate that. Lastly, the Helium stuffs into itself for portability making this an extremely travel friendly, multi season jacket that is comfy and looks beautiful on. 10/10 Highly recommend!
