Inn at the Market is crisp, cozy, and convenient. Located directly in Pikes Place Market, just off Post Alley, this hotel makes a perfect home base for hanging out in this iconic part of Seattle. I was there during Christmastime and it was decorated beautifully. It also made me realize how much I love to travel during the holidays when everything is colorful and festive. There is a fireplace in the lobby, and they had Christmas trees and elegant holiday decor.
There is coffee served in the lobby, so you can grab a cup and sit and chat by the fire. A small courtyard at the entrance was also decorated for the holidays so you felt festive just walking through the door.
The View
I had a gorgeous view of the market, Puget Sound, and the Ferris Wheel. A friend met me in the city and we could barely tear ourselves away from the window. Two comfy chairs with a table in between make a great place to watch the sun set and chat. Maybe get some take out from the Italian deli below and have a snack in-room. There are tons of food options in the immediate vicinity. One of my favorites was Matt’s in the Market, another place with a great view.
There is a rooftop deck with bistro tables, so if you wanted to pick up some food from the market (the Italian Deli has some great stuff for this) and enjoy it outside while taking in the views.
The Room
The room was modern with the usual desk area, tv, and a cool back-lit bar, and a big white refreshing bathroom. Even though it was in the city and facing a bustling market, it was quiet. It felt clean, fresh and energizing.
Inn at the Market Bottom Line
This is a hotel I have since recommended to several friends. It’s not all about the location, which is fabulous, but I loved the decor. Find out more on the Inn at the Market website.
