The ultra light Exped Travel Hammock is, as you would expect from Exped, very light and practical at 11 ounces. This suspension system is something new for me–there’s no carabiners on the ends. The Exped hammock hangs with knots, saving the weight of metal. Sold separately, the Suspension Kit’s straps are half-strap to hug the tree and half-rope with holes in it. You take the knots attached to the hammock and place them in the holes where you want it to hang.
It’s lightning fast and couldn’t be easier. It works with hammocks with caribiners too, so if you need some straps for one of your other hammocks, these are a great choice. The stuff sack is attached to the hammock and doubles as a cup holder. The Exped Travel Hammock packs down very small and light, making it so easy to include with every trip or hike.
