The Giro Ember MIPS Helmet is a women-specific helmet geared towards avid road riders who want maximum protection and comfort with minimum weight.
A patented Roc Loc 5 system allows you to easily adjust the fit. There’s a dial in the back and the side straps are also easy to adjust. Air-FX padding offers extra cush making it a super comfortable helmet that’s light weight with plenty of ventilation perfect for hot summer rides. The Ember is also pony tail compatible which is nice for keeping your hair out of the way. It won’t add weight to your suitcase should you decide to take it on your travels.
It has a more round profile than my other Giro helmet (that I love and wear all the time), the Sonnet. You feel more like a giant beetle with this one, but I really don’t care at all about that, I just want my brain cocooned in protection.
Giro has some advanced safety testing and features MIPS which aims to reduce rotational forces, protecting your brain better upon impact (see video). That technology gives me some peace of mind when I’m riding in traffic. Find the Giro Ember MIPS Helmet HERE.
